NJ Department of Personnel Civil Service List. Information and Jobs Available (this page allows you to print out the registration form for certain civil service tests; after registering, the test information will be sent to you)

NJ Workforce Profile 2007   This contains a list of the Merit System (also known as “Civil Service”) jurisdictions.  You must have Acrobat Reader™ to open this file.  Go to the very end, document pages 63 through 67, for a listing of participating agencies/cities/towns/counties.

Specific to New Jersey.  Lists many jobs, and allows posting of a resume.  Does take some getting used to but is well worth the effort

Specific to New Jersey .  Can find a job using zip code as a range.  Unusual in that most jobs refer the job seeker to a real person/phone number and give the actual address of the job unlike many internet sites which only allow contact through e-mail.

Law Enforcement Jobs from all over the country.  Browse their online ads, or find information about law enforcement departments.  Resumes can be posted.

Search newspaper ads or job postings on the web. Search by location, job category, industry or company.  No registration for job searches, but to post a resume you have to register.  You will also need an e-mail address.  You can also look for companies in a specific industry within a geographic area, or look up a company profile.
