Starting July 15, 2008 we will again have access to Reference/USA via the state-funded New Jersey Knowledge Initiative via  JerseyClicks.  Also available, Novelist Plus, an extension of Novelist which includes non-fiction. (A contradiction, one might have thought.)  For access outside the library a library card is required.

Online Information Resources (Subscription Data Bases)

The information sources listed here are fee-based.  Either the Paterson Free Public Library, the New Jersey State Library or special funding has paid for our patrons' access into these sources.

Newspaper Direct

This is absolutely wonderful for anyone who wants to read international dailies in the format they were printed.  Because one sees the exact image some of the controls might be unfamiliar but any of the Reference librarians can explain how it works.  AND, this product will read stories to you through headphones.  Is this great or what?!

The Paterson Free Public Library is pleased to announce a new path into the Historical New York Times using an "intuitive, graphical interface" which includes timelines and "What Happened On...".  Click here for your first look at Extra! Edition.

JerseyClicks   JerseyClicks is the portal for searching the full-text databases subsidized by the NJ State Library.  You can search 15 databases simultaneously.  You can have access to these data bases from your home when you enter your library card number.
