Internet Access

Access our free public WiFi connection at any of the two charging stations and one quiet study area available for use in the library.

Use one of our 20 public computers in the Reference Department. Public computers are also available at all library branches.

Logging in with a library card grants you 1 hour of computer time. Logging in with a guest pass grants you 30 minutes of computer time. Working on a resume, job application, or school project? We can extend your time as long as you need.

Career Services

Thanks to a generous grant from the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, the Paterson Free Public Library can provide job and career services to all Paterson residents. Visit our Career Services page to find out more!

Services for Senior Citizens

Books2Go is PFPL’s book lending program for senior and homebound Patersonians. We currently bring a special collection to the residents of Governor Paterson Towers once a month. If you represent a senior service or facility and would like us to provide this service, please contact us at blumenfeld@patersonpl.org or (973) 321-1223 x2295.

Community Resources

We can provide information about local organizations, ESL classes, HSE classes, immigration services, and more. We like to know everything about the Paterson community! Download our free Community Resource Guide, or pick one up in the Reference Department.

Ask a Reference Librarian!

  • Can I see a list of support groups in Passaic County?
  • Can you help me find sources for my college paper?
  • Can I see a list of all dry cleaning businesses in Paterson?
  • Can you help me find reliable medical information?
  • Can I look up a newspaper article from 1955?

These are just some of the questions we can answer for you at the Reference Desk. Don’t be shy! We’re here to help.
