Genealogical resources available at the Local History Center include newspapers, census data, maps, city directories, Soundex, passenger indexes, journals and, last but not least, we have an extensive obituary index of the residents of Paterson 1905-1997 that is periodically updated when time permits.

All access into the Local History Room and Collection will be by appointment only.  Schedule appointments through the Reference Department – 973-321-1223 ext. 2295 or via e-mail.
